Music, a stress buster, is considered as a therapy for good health and wellness. Music & Dance are a part of education in India as in most other nations.
The paper explores the music & dance education system in schools in India and provides recommendations for an effective and articulate music & dance education system to develop the opportunities for students to learn music & dance to enrich the teaching-learning experience at schools. Our core purpose is to educate musicians, professionals to make music their long-term sustainable career and to empower them to bring positive change, innovation, and global competitiveness to the Indian music industry.
The objectives of this school are to discuss some key areas of the music & dance education system i.e. contents of the curriculum and its implementation, teaching practices, available resources, use of technology, and advocacy for music & dance education and to share the research-based recommendations to enrich the music education system in schools in India.
